Firstly, thank you Bob for being so kind & concerned for me on the bike as I had fallen over in Ubud the previous day & hurt both knees & my wrist, so was not a very good rider.
Bob looked after me "like his own mother" Our stop at the Coffee Plantation was interesting & we enjoyed sampling the different varieties of coffee, including buying a cup of Luwak coffee, which was really nice. The pancakes, made by Bob's wife were yummy.
During our ride we stopped to look at preparations for a cock fight, then continued on stopping to see the ladies harvesting the rice. We stopped for a ceremony, then enjoyed the easy pace down the mountain through the many villages, waving at the smiling children along the way, stopping whenever we wanted to for a drink & bananas, also supplied by Bob.
Bob is a wealth of information & genuinely cares about what he does & the community & this shows.
The day ends with the most delicious, authentic lunch back at Bob's home, cooked by his wife.
It was so good I suggested she start cooking classes as well.
My husband enjoyed the cold Bintangs with his lunch.
A great day out, have already recommended Bali on Bike to others.
