Kia Ora Dew "Bob" - thanks for a great experience yesterday! We were picked up on time and after seeing the crowded roads we worked our way up to meet Dewa “Bob” who started the tour at a tiered rice field (great photo!) and on to a coffee producer for a light brunch and welcomed by friendly staff with “Kia Ora Bro!” (Staff were very friendly speaking French/Russian) and shared a selection of Tea’s/Coffee’s and even had a chance to try a small cup of the worlds most expensive coffee (If you have seen the movie “The Bucket list” you will appreciate the context!) Then on to see Volcanic wonders and then start our bike tour. You are allowed to stop along the way and take photos of the many wonderful moments of local Balinese in the natural day and amazing temples throughout the tour. The Balinese meal at the home of Dewa Bob was yum! (I’m a fussy eater too!) Dewa and his family exceeded my expectations, offered genuinely friendly and open discussion on the Balinese character, shared his pride for this Island and it’s beauty and provided us an opportunity to see an insight into real Balinese life – wonderful! Ka Pai (Thanks!) Dewa – we will certainly recommend you to our people travelling on Air NZ from AKL to DPS!
