My husband and I booked this Bali on Bike before we left for Bali. It was the best thing we did. BOB got back to me quickly and we were promptly picked up at our hotel ready for our adventure.
We chose this tour as it was small and offered more of the "real" Bali. There was only 4 of us on our tour (including Rhonda!), so there was a real personal touch.
We began by driving to the coffee plantation to try the coffee make by animal pooo! Wasn't half bad! BOB's wife made awesome pancakes for us to enjoy with our coffee. Then it was off for a photo opportunity at the volcano before getting on our bikes. Most of the Journey is downhill which is great....although after traveling 32km you still get bikers bum, although there is plenty of opportunity to get off and wander around. We ventured through fantastic small villages, a school, and a real highlight was a visit to one of the amazing temples. Im not that much into temples, but this one was mind blowing. Cycling through the rice paddies was beautiful and so serene.
We finished our journey at BOB's house in a traditional Balinese compound.
Cold Bintang was flowing and very welcomed and BOB's wife cooked the most amazing lunch. Infact the food in all the restaurants is great, but this was even better!!! She needs to teach cooking classes as this food was outstanding. There was no rush to leave, we all just sat around and chatted, ate and drank.
This tour was truly the highlight of our Bali Trip. A huge thank you to Moon, our fabulous guide, and to BOB and his wonderful team for making this day so memorable. Jen and Rog, Australia
