I'm in Ubud with my family and friends, our children range in age from 12 - 16 years. I booked from reviews on Trip Advisor and from my first email to make enquiries until being picked up at our hotel it was a breeze. Our guide, Moon was fantastic, he was fun and funny and gave us a great insight into Balinese culture. Bob was there too at the back of the pack making sure everything is ok, my husband was also at the back and had a great conversation with him and he too was full of interesting information.

They arrived on time to pick us up at our hotel and our first stop was the coffee plantation and then up to the volcano where the real adventure begins. We were not disappointed with the quality of the bikes, they were all in great working order.

Ninety eight percent of the trip was down hill with only a few up hill bits, but manageable for all levels of bike riding experience and you were given the chance to put your bike in the truck and jump in for a ride up that section.

There was one section of the ride (not very long) where we went on a main road which was busy and a little hair raising at times but Bob and Moon and the little back up truck took great care of us and it added to the adventure.

It is great getting out amongst the sights and smells of Bali. We got to visit a farming family and their family compound, where generations of the one family live together, and you get to see how they live. We also stopped off in a rice field and went over and saw how the rice was harvested, the kids got to have a go.

We stopped off in a mandarin plantation and met the ladies picking the fruit, they were fun. We got to pick and eat the fruit.

You could stop and take photos whenever you felt like it and Moon was always there to take a group photo.

The scenery along the way was varied and beautiful.

It all ended at Bob's family compound where his wife prepared a fantastic meal. There was plenty to eat, there was NO chance of going away hungry or thirsty as Bintangs and cold drinks supplied.

We are travelling with a group of 11 and I can truly say everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience, in fact my 13 year old daughter said it was the best ride of her life. I would highly recommend you do it.
