Bob was a perfect host. Very knowledgable and clearly loves his country! Bikes were in perfect condition and off the beaten track was the highlights. Instead of a restaurant at the end we went to Bobs house where his wife had prepared a very local lunch that was amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending his tour. Top bloke!

Bob & his team were awesome tour guides from start to finish. He was open in sharing a lot about Bali, tradition, religion, work practices and culture along the way. The lunch provided by his wife was our best meal in Bali- absolutely beautiful, freshly prepared Indonesian food! Bobs hospitality in welcoming us all into his home was humbling and appreciated. Great trip enjoyed by everyone in our group!
I dont think I could add anything that hasn't been explained in detail to the stunning 500+ EXCELLENT reviews. Such a fun day. Unfortunately something came up and the crew that was supposed to be part of tour had to cancel so it was just me! Me and the Boss. WOW. Such amazing weather, such a fun ride. We cruised through back roads, local villages and rice fields. Balinese children, men and women greeting us with big smiles and big hellos. People know this guy. They yell "Boss!" when we ride by. They know this guy and the amazing things he does for his community and those of us who want to see Bali up close and personal. We stopped whenever and wherever for pictures. We stopped in numerous rice fields while people were working. He greeted and talked to them, asking if I can watch as they harvest the rice, or weave. You wanna know how awesome this tour is, and how fortunate I was? We were coming around the corner of an everlasting green rice field, when he asked if I want to see how they harvest the rice. Well of course! We stop, walk into the field. He converses with the woman harvesting the rice, showing me the entire process, when I hear Bob say, "He's climbing the tree for the leaves." I look up and there is an older gentleman climbing a coconut trees. Coconut tree? No limbs? No branches? AH-mazing. Got excellent video of the old school way locals get the leaves and coconuts from these gloriously tall trees. He had no problem, and actually encourages waiting to watch the gentleman in the coconut tree climb up and down the tree, collect leaves and coconuts, and the elderly woman harvest the rice. How cool is this guy!? Midway through the trip we stopped for pics and a little break. He knew I didnt eat breakfast. His colleague, who drove during the entire trip, was already there at the spot where we stopped, with bananas and other fruit for me to eat! Every time we got to a larger intersection, his colleague was already at the intersection before we even got there, in the middle of the intersection, directing traffic so that we could cross streets safely! We ended up at his beautiful home at the end of the trip, where his wife had a beautiful spread of relish traditional balinese food available. Tempeh, chicken satay, rice, omelets, fried noodles (forgot proper name)..say what? Top it off sweet sweet sweet black rice pudding. Traditional balinese dessert. Talked greatly about traditions, his home and family. Picked me up at my guesthouse, on time, bright smile, great laugh, great English, wonderful personality. This tour was so enjoyable. I usually do not like to do tours because I always feel like a sheep being herded by a hard to hear and understand shepherd, but Bob trumped all of that. Take the tour. Almost 600 Excellent reviews can be ignored! Visited September 2014
Came to Bali with youngest son and family, including five teen-age boys and a daughter. They set the pace! Bob picked us up the the Ubud resort, right on time. A fascinating trip up to the volcanic lake in the extinct crater with a stop at a tiny botanical reserve and an astonishing range of coffee and a side serve of natural tobacco. The boys all made rollies. Lots of spluttering. Got to the rim of the crater lake and picked up our bikes. I didn't take time to set mine up right, which i later regretted. Good saddle height and weight balance are important for a long downhill run. I am 81, with two artificial hips, but there was no condescension, just affectionate respect. I had a great run through villages and along back roads and got a good look at rural Bali. Bob was an excellent guide and a generous host. It was the best day in a memorable trip. Visited July 2014
Bob gives a really insightful tour of Ubud and Bali, sharing his knowledge and answering any questions you may have. It's by no means physically demanding, and it is relaxing because if this. Don't eat too much for breakfast, as there is plenty to eat provided, and Bob's wife is a spectacular cook. It's a great escape to the quiet, clean air country side.
This was my second time to Bali on Bike. It was just as good the second time. From the punctual pick up at the hotel, to the friendly informative local information then a great bike ride down the montain. The tour guides during the ride made sure the whole group remained safe and we all had a great time. Once again we ended up in Bobs house for a wonderful meal and a Bintang beer !! He gave us a great insight into the Balinese beliefs and local customs. It is a great tour ...I cannot rate it high enough !! Thank you Bob. Visited August 2014
We had such a fun day with Bali on bike. We would really recommend this activity during your trip to Ubud. The owner/guide of this small company is very kind, speaks good english and has a great sense of humor. During the day we could ask him anything and we where free to stop wherever we would like to. The day ends with a very delisious meal at his familycompount, which was preapared by his wife.
the bike tour is definitely a to-do activity. This tour operator offered a reasonably priced day, well organised, amazing scenery, smooth operation, great tour guide with right amount of info, fantastic lunch. Only complaint was the pancake breakfast - sorry but yuk! Visited July 2014
I can't rate Bob and his helpers highly enough, this was a day to remember and definitely a highlight of our time in Bali. We were picked up from Legian around 7am which was a bit of a shock to the system but well worth the early morning. Picked up another family in Ubud so there were 7 of us plus Bob for the day. I won't go into the details of the trip (you can read all about it on the website and in other peoples reviews) but every part of it was interesting and entertaining and we learned so much about Balinese culture and coffee growing and how rice is farmed and all sorts of other stuff that Bob shared along the way. The biking was easy (mostly downhill), the scenery was awesome (took too many photos but captured some great ones), Bob was an absolute gem of a man and the lunch at the end (cooked in Bobs family compound by his wife) was one of our best meals in Bali and a perfect ending to an amazing day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a bit of a break from the beach and is interested in seeing a slice of the real Bali and the Balinese people and their traditional lifestyles. We could all learn a little from their cultures and beliefs and the way that family is central to everything... my thoughts anyway. So do it, it's definitely a day to remember, we loved it, thank you Bob! Visited August 2014
